(hereinafter referred to as "the Company") recognizes that properly handling personal information in its possession, in compliance with the Act on the Protection of Personal Information (hereinafter referred to as "APPI") and other relevant laws and regulations, is an important social responsibility of a corporation in order to protect the rights and interests of individuals. Accordingly, the Company hereby establishes the following basic policy on the protection of personal information.

1. Compliance with Applicable Laws and Guidelines

The Company shall comply with the Act on the Protection of Personal Information ("APPI"), other applicable laws and regulations, and the Guidelines Concerning the Act on the Protection of Personal Information, as well as any other relevant guidelines, with respect to the handling, administration, and use of personal information.

2. Purpose of Use of Personal Information

The Company shall use personal information only within the scope of the purposes specified in "Handling of Personal Information".

3. Matters Concerning Security Control Measures

The Company shall implement appropriate and secure management of personal information and shall endeavor to always ensure its protection. With respect to security control measures for personal information, the Company shall establish separate "Personal Information Protection Rules" and shall take organizational, physical, and technical measures necessary to prevent incidents such as leakage, while providing employee education and training. In addition, the Company shall exercise necessary and appropriate supervision over contractors (including subcontractors) and shall maintain and continuously improve these measures.

Handling of Personal Information

1. Purposes of Use of Personal Information

+81 Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "the Company") shall use personal information only to the extent necessary to achieve the following purposes:

  • For accepting, managing, and confirming salon reservations, and for contacting users
  • For verifying information necessary to provide salon treatment services
  • For user identity verification and provision of authentication services
  • For processing payments and performing related administrative procedures
  • For responding to user inquiries and providing support
  • For improving and optimizing services based on user usage history and reservation history
  • For analyzing usage trends, marketing, and delivering advertisements (including personalized ads)
  • For sending newsletters, campaign information, and survey invitations
  • For preventing unauthorized use and ensuring system security and reliability
  • For responding in accordance with laws, guidelines, or inquiries from governmental agencies
  • For creating and analyzing statistical data for new feature development and service quality improvement
  • For providing reservation information to partner salons and other third-party disclosures necessary for platform operation

2. Use for Purposes Other Than Those Specified

If the Company intends to use personal information for any purpose other than those specified in Section 1, such use shall be subject to obtaining the prior consent of the individual concerned, except where such use is permitted by applicable laws and regulations.

3. Provision of Personal Information to Service Providers

The Company may entrust personal information to service providers to the extent necessary to achieve the purposes specified above. In such cases, the Company shall select service providers based on certain standards established by the Company, shall enter into agreements concerning the handling of personal information, and shall exercise appropriate supervision over such service providers.

4. Joint Use of Personal Information

The Company shall jointly use personal information as set forth below:

Items of Personal Information to be Jointly Used

Name, date of birth, age, gender, address, contact information (such as telephone number and email address), employment information (including employer's address and department), work history obtained during recruitment, school information (such as school name and faculty), and any other information provided by the individual during the recruitment process that constitutes personal information, as well as any changes to all of the foregoing.

Scope of Joint Users

The Company and its group companies.

Purpose of Use

The same purposes as specified in Section 1 of "Handling of Personal Information," and in connection with or related to the business of the Company's group (including all recruitment activities).

5. Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties and Acquisition from Third Parties

Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties

The Company shall not provide personal information entrusted to it to any third party except in any of the following cases:

  • Where prior consent has been obtained from the individual concerned
  • Where an opt-out procedure has been implemented in accordance with Article 27, Paragraph 2 of the Act on the Protection of Personal Information (APPI)
  • Where required by laws and regulations
  • Where necessary for the protection of life, body, or property of a person and obtaining consent is difficult
  • Where particularly necessary for the improvement of public health or the sound development of children and obtaining consent is difficult
  • Where cooperation is necessary with a national or local government agency, or a person entrusted by such agency, in performing affairs prescribed by laws and regulations, and obtaining consent may impede the execution of such affairs
  • Where the provision is made to joint users as specified in Section 4 above
  • Where outsourcing is conducted within the scope necessary to achieve the purposes of use as specified in Section 3 above

Acquisition of Personal Information from Third Parties

When acquiring personal information, the Company shall obtain such information directly from the individual concerned or from a third party with the individual's consent and shall ensure that the acquisition is conducted by lawful and fair means.

6. Proposals for Services, Information Provision, and Advertisement Distribution

Examples of use for proposals, information provision, and advertisement distribution include:

  • Providing information on campaigns conducted by the Company and its group companies
  • Providing newsletters, direct mail, notifications, advertisements, and other information related to the Company's services and the services of its group companies
  • Providing newsletters, direct mail, notifications, advertisements, and other information related to products and services of companies, schools, and organizations deemed appropriate by the Company

The Company may provide proposals for services, information, and advertisements to users who meet certain conditions (including users of services provided by the Company or by advertising-related businesses). In this process, the Company may link user lists held by advertising-related businesses such as Google, Meta, LINE Yahoo, and others with email addresses, telephone numbers, cookies, and other information necessary for distribution held by the Company.

8. Procedures for Notification, Disclosure, Correction, Suspension of Use, and Suspension of Provision to Third Parties

Upon receiving a request concerning personal information held by the Company—such as notification of the purpose of use, disclosure, correction, suspension of use, or suspension of provision to third parties—the Company shall verify that the requester is the individual concerned or his/her legal representative and shall respond appropriately and without undue delay.

Request Procedure

After receiving an inquiry, the Company shall provide the prescribed request form. Please seal and send the following documents by postal mail to the above contact point:

  • Request Form for Disclosure, etc. of Retained Personal Information
  • Identification documents (a copy of a government-issued photo ID such as a driver's license or passport; for Individual Number Cards, do not send the side showing the Individual Number)
  • If the requester is a legal representative, documents verifying legal authority in addition to the above identification

Joint Use of Customer Information within the SOLIZE Group

+81 Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "the Company") transitioned to a holding company structure through a corporate split effective July 1, 2025 (hereinafter referred to as "the Transition").

In connection with the Transition, information provided by customers, including personal information, in the course of transactions with the Company and its group companies (hereinafter referred to as the "SOLIZE Group") shall be jointly used for the following purposes: to ensure proper management and risk control within the SOLIZE Group, centered on the Company; and to provide customers with higher value-added services by leveraging the expertise of each SOLIZE Group company in collaboration. Such joint use shall be conducted in accordance with the provisions set forth in "Handling of Personal Information," Section 4 "Joint Use of Personal Information," on the Company's website (https://hachi-ichi.co.jp/privacy-policy/).
